Huawei explains how the Mate 30 Pro works with the Palm Rejection

In the extremely expected Mate 30 range, Huawei Mate 30 Pro is one of the most expensive products. The cell is equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display with severe angles around its ends.

Huawei substituted physical handles on the hand with pressure-sensible pads which operate using haptic feedback. This clearly increases issues regarding unnecessary contacts while keeping your mobile in your side. Huawei VP Li Xiaolong doesn’t think it’s going to be an issue.

He describes that there are three different areas of view – the center plain panel and two curves around the cell side.
When you hold your mobile, the touches on the side are overlooked and the monitor works most of the moment like a typical flat panel. Only the volumetric keys, shoulder pads, and a shutter button for a camera record the bent surfaces of the screen. The volume control only works if you type double on either side of the screen to prevent unwanted contacts.

While Product Manager Bruce Lee of Huawei thinks it will be easy to customers and rapidly become accustomed to it.
