Global Smartphone transportation will fall by 2.5% by end of 2019

Gartner Research has released a latest report which explores global smartphone sales trends as we go further into the second half of 2019. Aggregate deliveries are expected to decrease from 1.55 billion vehicles in 2018 by 2.5 percent to 1.52 billion by the middle of 2018, according to the information.

In terms of regional divide, we see the major declines in Japan with a decrease of 6.5% over the year, with Western Europe (-5.3%) and North America (-4.4%) led by Western Europe (-4.5%).
In Sub-Saharan Africa (+ 1.5%), Eurasia (+ 1.2%) and the Mear East and North Africa (+ 0.9%) computer deliveries will increase on the other hand.

In mature markets, the high-end smartphone market is particularly oversupplied and commoditized, with higher average selling prices (ASPs) and no compelling new utility or experiences for users to upgrade to.

Due to slow substitution levels across all market sections, analysts predict supply for fresh telephones to fall even less during the 2nd quarter of 2019. Despite the emergence of 5 G telephones in the majority of markets in 2019, the consumer’s interest in these devices remains low.

Looking further, the rebound year 2020 will be an approximately 2,83 per cent rise for worldwide smartphone deliveries over 2019. The increase in 5 G networks and telephones from all proven producers will drive this development.
